I write to you from a coffee shop in the small town where I grew up and where many generations of my ancestors lived and raised their families. The relationship we have with the places where we grew up, the ancestral and geographic landscape, is a blessing for us to receive, just as it is, just as we are, with all that has happened and not happened in the generations before us. I am grateful for the persistent, consistent web of all relations that is in each of us and that we are all in together.
